Out of Deep Valleys, Come Great Peaks

The photo above was taken from my weekly Wellness Wednesday post on Instagram.
Later that day, my brother-in-law, Ori, texted me this, "Just saw your post cutting the lilacs. Love the smile! You look happy. From deep valleys come great peaks."

Personally, 2019 was full of heartache and loss. This was followed by 2020, which
globally, was a valley, the likes of which, had not been seen in a century.

Now, in 2021 the ascent begins...

You can feel the rumblings of life returning. Like Spring itself, there are green shoots of businesses, schools, farmers markets and institutions sprouting across the social landscape. Graduations and concerts are on the rebound. Weddings and Festivals are being planned. Restrictions are falling.

Could it be the Roaring 20s all over again.

So now we continue the work and we climb. What do you want your peak to be?
What vista do you want to look out on when you reach the top?

In yoga philosophy the term, "sankalpa," translates to an intention or resolve, which reflects your heart's deepest desire. As with a mantra, by repeating your sankalpa, you align yourself with the life you were meant to live.

For me, it was manifesting life on a farm, surrounded by family, dogs, goats and horses. It was: living a life aligned with nature; teaching yoga and ayurveda; helping people be strong and healthy in their body, minds and spirits.

I know that I am now centered in my dharma, my purpose.
Ori saw it, in my post.

Your turn.
What would your life look like? If you listened to the whispers of your soul's longing, your heart's desire, what would be your sankalpa?

Who would you evolve into while fulfilling your dharma?

Think it. Whisper it. Say it again and again.

Now, what is the one thing you can do this week to aim the arrow of your heart's vision towards that goal?
Step by step. Your ascent begins today.
See you at the top!

With so much love,
Kari
