What’s Your Dream?

We’re here. We made it!

After a crazy over-scheduled month of May, final weeks of my kids’ school, graduation celebrations for Lotus, and presenting my final Ayurveda thesis, we are now in the mountains of Andalusia and it is GLORIOUS.

Yesterday evening, we dropped Lotus off in the tiny village of Atajate, where she is volunteering for the week at a horse rescue sanctuary. Eric and I will be touring around Southern Spain with nothing to do except feed our senses, our bellies, and our souls.

Last night, we stayed in a neighboring village, an old moorish fortress and kingdom, in a 300 year old adorable hotel/museum complete with ancient olive oil presses.  Enjoying a glass of wine, sitting by the little pool on the side of a mountain, I was looking out at the valley of fig, almond and olive groves and I could see the little village where we had just brought Lotus. I was so excited for her, so proud of her; for her initiative and the adventure on which she chose to embark. What an opportunity and life milestone that she conjured up.  So blessed to help her make it manifest.

I then immediately thought the same thing about myself.
Surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of Southern Spain, thinking about the beauty and love of my farm at home, my love at my side.
I was filled with a deep peace and pride and contentment from within.

Dreaming, investing energy and taking action (sometimes with risks) are the steps to conjuring up the life you want.   

This was my path and I am unapologetically living the life that I imagined.
