de vacaciones (on vacation)
Greetings from Andalusia.
What an enlightening trip we’ve had exploring this incredible region. The history, lineages and juxtaposition of modern and, at times, ancient is so enriching.
Lotus has finished her service week at the horse sanctuary. She had the most amazing and educational experience.
After collecting Lotus from the sanctuary, we came straight to Suryalila—this is the retreat center where I am co-leading a retreat in September. We’re enjoying a few days of yoga and horse riding, as well as taking day trips exploring nearby pueblos and playas.
I am in love with the topography, the “pueblo blancos,” the people, and the wine and cheese!
At once, I feel a million miles away from home, and totally connected to myself.
This vacationing thing is pretty awesome.
For years, I would only “go on vacation” if I was working it, as in, leading a yoga retreat, or a teacher training.
So, not a vacation for me at all.
It has taken a lot of undoing, rewiring, and a whole lot of permission, to get to this place.
It feels really really good.
I hope that each and every one of you gets some version of a “summer vacation.”
Till next week,
I’m still, de vacaciones.
With so much love,
Kari
Please note that Saturday’s class will be prerecorded and will drop at 9am for all of you to enjoy a class with Tiger.
