Here I go, go, go again!
Friends,
You may remember that about a month ago I wrote about slowing down and making time for rest each day—having a day more devoted to restful practices and self care each week. I shared about my propensity to fill any new space in my calendar with two new things.
So….. Funny thing… You know how I just graduated from my Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program in June?
Well, I got accepted into the 18 month long Ayurvedic Practitioner Program… and it begins tonight.
Here I go again! Back to school, monthly exams, papers and presentations, more practice clients, and MORE LEARNING!!!
Because I LOVE learning.
I did not think that I would be able to make it happen this year because of scheduling conflicts and all that we have taken on here at the farm. But I am with the most incredible and supportive partner, whose first word, like a good improv player, is always “Yes, and… we will figure it out.”
As to my promise to myself to slow down and rest, well, I am a work in progress. ;)
Small wins for me this month is that I have been consistently good about doing a yoga nidra or a walking meditation many days in the week. I have made time to meet friends for tea and hikes.
With this new endeavor, I will need to be more diligent about where I leak my energy and time.
My teacher, Nevine Michaan says the one justice in this world is that we all get 24 hours in a day.
What you do with them, is up to you.
I will be spending lots of my time reading ancient texts and watching lectures.
I have new steel blue notebooks and purple pens.
Wish me luck as I, too, go go go back to school!
I am so grateful and excited!
With so much love,
Kari
