Time
Time.
A non-renewable resource.
A great equalizer.
A healer of wounds.
Simultaneously the most precious thing, yet many of us waste so much of it.
Since coming home from vacation on Thursday, I've spent much of the weekend hunkering down, honing in, and organizing my space, so I could better manage my time.
Yesterday, I went through the three school calendars of all my kids and put them all down in my calendar. So I now have a consolidated, calendarized view for the year: our obligations, vacations, and goals.
In the 5-element theory of Ayurveda, your home is your space, so you want to pay attention to the space element when you intentionally design your rooms so they are clutter free and invite flow. Think about the vibrational atmosphere you infuse, so creativity and a sense of ease and freedom can thrive within your home.
The element air governs time.
The primary quality of the air element is movement, which, in turn, is required to activate your vision. Movement also measures time.
A calendar is a map of time. When we map our time, we measure it and determine where "we choose" to use time well and see where it gets wasted.
By structuring your time, you begin to increase your capacity to achieve the goals you have set for yourself and eventually become the master of your time.
Motto: Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Time belongs to Great Nature.
Using your time well belongs to personal nature.
Your day. Your week. Your season.
Success happens when we are in the right place at the right time. It can occur through luck but more often occurs by design--by planning.
Set yourself up for success by organizing yourself.
It starts with a plan, a practice, a desire.
What are your goals for this coming school year?
With so much love,
Kari
