Responsibility as a Teacher
I have been blessed as a yogi to have lived in places where I was exposed to incredible teachers, studios, and training programs.
Having had the privilege of studying with and then teaching beside Rodney Yee, I was privy to all of his yoga stories. I will never forget an anecdote he shared about his own teacher that clearly had a huge impact on him. In it, he recounted how his teacher told his classroom, which was full of perspective teachers, "As yoga teachers, you are responsible for every single person that walks through your door."
That simple, powerful statement had a profound impact on me as well, shaping how I approach teaching and mentoring others. I carry that responsibility with deep reverence, and it informs every aspect of how I coach students and train yoga teachers.
With the weight of this responsibility, I have distilled over 23 years of my own yoga education and teaching experience into a Mentorship program for Yoga Teachers.
This is where we’ll go beyond the basics of teaching and really delve into what it means to guide others with knowledge and integrity. By learning the mechanics and energetics of poses, you will gain insight and understanding of human anatomy and common misalignments.
This new wisdom will empower you with "response-ability," guiding each and every student who comes through your classroom door to stop a pain pattern or potential injury and instead realize their full potential in every asana.
I aim to help you become a teacher who creates a space where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired.
Because if you join my mentorship program, I am responsible for YOU.
Let’s take this journey together this fall and make a real impact—one class, one student at a time.
